David A. Hendelberg is a Shareholder with Jones and Kolb. He has over 40 years of experience in the accounting world, having previously worked with other public accounting firms including Ernst and Whitney (now Ernst and Young) and served as a field agent for the Internal Revenue Service before joining Jones and Kolb in 1978. David specializes in providing advisory, tax planning and financial planning services to individuals and small and closely-held businesses.
David is a member of the Georgia Society of Certified Public Accountants (GSCPA) and the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants (AICPA). He also holds the designation of Certified Financial Planner (CFP) from the College of Financial Planning and is a Personal Financial Specialist (PFS) through the AICPA. In addition, he is licensed as a General Securities Registered Representative to assist with insurance related matters including life, variable life, accident and annuities. He has been recognized by multiple national publications as one of the “Best Tax Practitioners” and “Best Financial Planners” via Worth Magazine. David is a graduate of the University of Maryland where he earned his B.A. and the University of Baltimore School of Law where he earned his J.D.
Originally from Baltimore, Maryland, David now calls Atlanta, Georgia home with his wife of over 40 years and proudly boasts of his two wonderful kids and three beautiful grandchildren. When not assisting clients, he enjoys golfing, traveling, assisting as the Co-Chairman of the Georgia Tax Forum and volunteering at the Epstein School.
